Samsung to launch own App Store in Europe

South Korean consumer electronics giant, Samsung Electronics Co Ltd announced on Monday that it would open an online store for smartphone applications, following the overwhelming success of the iPhone App Store . The online store will open on September 14th initially in the UK, France and Italy, with more than 30 countries to follow soon after. At Hot Chips this past week, Intel's Rajesh Patel revealed more details of the chipmaker's upcoming Moorestown platform.
