Popping up in the patents office in the US was one interesting application from Nokia. They're looking to patent a way to power a smartphone by using your own body movement, or as Nokia sexily puts it, a Piezoelectric Kinetic Energy Harvester.

Cool Valley: HTC Sued by Apple Over 20 iPhone Patents

HTC has been sued by Apple for infringing on 20 iPhone-related patents. The court filing by Apple says "that a bevy of HTC-made cellphones -- including the Nexus One, T-Mobile's G-1 and the MyTouch 3G -- use patent-protected technologies owned by Apple without having a license for them."
